If a picture is worth a thousand words then video says it all!

In 2007 we - a small group of Internet users - got together to talk about ideas for a new business. We all had one thing in common – we all used the Internet as a tool for buying, selling and communicating. Through our brainstorming sessions, one thing kept cropping up over and over – VIDEO on the Web!

We suddenly realised – OK, there were some amazing websites that allow people to post video clips for the world to see - and some amazing websites that allow people to buy, sell and auction items online.

What we couldn’t quite find was a dedicated online marketplace designed specifically for people to buy, sell and advertise using the power of video! After all, we already have numerous home shopping channels on TV… and the Internet is now growing as the most powerful form of mass communication.

And so the concept for Speedviewing evolved.

We knew we weren’t reinventing the wheel – we were just combining some incredible tools that were already there. We also knew that we had to make it so simple and easy to use that anyone could do it. We had to take as much of the technical hassle as we could. Again, the technology was already there – digital photo and video cameras and mobile phones are cheap and readily available. But that wasn’t enough… we realised that there are a lot of people out there that don’t know how to upload and edit videos – and we didn’t want them to miss out. That’s why we came up with the simple solution with our editing and uploading service. People can just send us their video tape or DVD – and we’ll do the rest. Simple!

Our mission at Speedviewing is to create an evolving content delivery platform, which will become even more dynamic and user friendly as we grow. We will embrace new technology as it comes along so that users will have a smoother and quicker experience.

Our philosophy is to practise what we preach – and we will always listen to our users. We believe that the key to delivering a successful marketplace is to communicate with the people that use it.

Welcome to the wonderful world of Speedviewing!
